Virginia Cheek

Founder, Lead Designer

After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Virginia studied Interior Design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Originally from Birmingham, she worked under designers on the East and West coasts before founding her own practice in January 2015. She currently resides in Atlanta with her husband and three children.

Josephine Wheeler

Design Project Manager

Josephine graduated from Auburn University’s Interior Design program in August of 2020 with a minor in Business. After interning with a few interior designers in the Atlanta area, Josephine joined Virginia Cheek Designs in September of 2020.

There's a time and a place for everything, right?

If you’re more of a neutral person, we’ll keep it more restrained in the larger, public spaces by playing off the natural light and texture.

In the smaller spaces — like your powder room, breakfast nook, or butler’s pantry — I’ll encourage you to have some fun! Go colorful and take some risks. We can explore unique colors, wallpapers, and fixtures without disrupting the overall flow.

Bringing a client’s visual identity and style to life through design? There’s truly nothing better.

Creating an atmosphere, a mood, a story… these are the things that keep me up at night and get me out of bed in the morning. And when we finally see it all together, every detail feels like art.
